Meditation by Charles Tournemire, Scherzo and Toccata by Marcel Dupré and Allegro syphonique by André Fleury are given in original text plus most usefull fingering for the second mode by Olivier Messiaen.

Mit dieser “Anstiftung” werden in leicht nachvollziehbaren Schritten auf dem Weg zur freien Improvisation dem interessierten Leser und künftigen Improvisator eine Fülle von Überlegungen, praktischen Tipps und Kniffen und weiterführenden Impulsen vorgelegt.
“Einfach spielen” versucht dabei eine Lücke zu schließen zwischen den oft an simplen und wenig befriedigenden Kadenzmodellen orientierten Improvisationsschulen einerseits und sehr komplexen, meist mehrsemestrig angelegten klassischen Schulen für den Hochschulgebrauch.

Die Anstiftung nutzt dafür die fünf musikalischen Parameter Metrum und Rhythmus, Melodik, Harmonik, Klangfarbe und Dynamik, die anhand von Griffbildern näher erläutert und für die Praxis erschlossen werden.

Wie in einem Drehbuch (Storytelling) wird für die Improvisation ein präziser Plot benötigt. Anhand von Beispielen von Dupré, Fleury und Tournemire oder Registrierungen bei Cochereau, Leguay u.a. geht es um die klanglichen Konzepte für improvisatorische Ideen. Ziel dabei ist die Spannungsentwicklung offen zu halten – gegen jede Improvisationsroutine.
